UK local government media review
The UK urban regeneration body Communities and Local Government has issued a review, ‘Getting the message across: using media to reduce racial prejudice and discrimination’.
According to the review, it takes more than “intuition and good intentions” to reduce racially prejudiced attitudes and behaviour in the media.
The review, which explores the implications for policy makers and practitioners, adds that using media effectively is scientifically complicated, and intellectually and creatively challenging.
